Defining Characteristics: One of the most desirable and popular girls at Hogwarts. Fourteen-year-old Sirius asked her out once, and she laughed and pronounced him "cute".

Defining Characteristics: A SCAdian summoned by the Room of Requirement to instruct members of Dumbledore's Army in the use of the sword. Of middling height with ash-brown hair and blue eyes.

MARVOLA ARWEN RAEVYN YVETTE SALAZARA UMEKIKO ELFYNCHYLD
Hogwarts House: Gryffindor, class of 1978 (briefly)
Defining Characteristics: A typical MarySue, with long, black hair with purple and silver streaks, and eyes that change colour according to her mood. Tall and slender with large boobs and "curves in all the right places". Gothic makeup, revealing black clothing, and a pierced navel. She is Voldemort's daughter, as well as being part (Tolkienian) Elf and part Veela. Fluent in chatspeak, and has an American accent. She has the required tragic history, and her Veela lifemate is Remus, whom she can immediately identify as a werewolf. She can perform wandless magic and her Animagus form is a pink unicorn. Currently being held by the Department for the Termination of Useless Characters.

Defining Characteristics: Lily's father. A tall, blond man with green eyes. He was very excited and supportive when he learned his younger daughter was a witch. Fascinated with the magical world in the way Arthur Weasley is with the Muggle world. Killed in a car accident, Spring 1978. Harry Potter is named for him.

Defining Characteristics: A friendly, sympathetic, middle-aged Ministry wizard, who may be either an Obliviator, or work in Magical Law Enforcement. He is the first to speak to Remus after Sirius is taken away by MLE for "murdering" Peter. May or may not be Angelina Johnson's grandfather.

MAGPIE "MAGGIE" LEWIS
Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw, class of 1980
Defining Characteristics: Auburn hair, hazel eyes, short and rather pretty. Had a large crush on Remus Lupin in her first through third years, until she caught him snogging Sirius Black behind the broom shed. Intelligent, with an enthusiastic interest in the brewing of love potions, and a passion for fanfiction about Muggles, which she once shared with Madeleine Yaxley. Often accompanied by unnamed, giggling friends. Her best friend is Louisa Chambers (see above). In her last school years, she became fascinated by Wizarding history, and went on to become an Archaeomage. Maggie likes older men. Her father works for the Legislative branch of the Ministry of Magic. Polyjuice with her hair in it tastes like sugared violets, according to Remus. Maggie is Scottish, and her Quidditch team is, of course, the Montrose Magpies. May have died in the aftermath of the first war.

Madeleine Yaxley and Maggie Lewis (see above) are both fans, and write Freya Lovelace fanfic. Maddy's mother considers her dangerous and subversive for casting Muggle characters in her leading roles.

Defining Characteristics: Adopted daughter of Remus Lupin and Sirius Black, she has curly, blonde hair and brown eyes. Her birth parents were killed at the end of the first war. She loves her daddies and appears to have a large crush on Harry, which she is (at the age of eleven) somewhat forward about. Lollia is seen only in the Mirror of Erised by Remus, along with two younger Potter children (see below).

Hogwarts House: Slytherin, class of 1927
Defining Characteristics: A young ghost dressed in Muggle clothing of the 1920's. In life, she was a gifted Seer and descendant of Salazar Slytherin. Left Hogwarts before her seventh year, due to pregnancy. Unwed mother of Tom Marvolo Riddle. Died in childbirth, age 17. Buried beneath a large yew tree in the Little Hangleton graveyard. "Eurydice" comes from the Greek myth of a tree nymph who died tragically on her wedding day. "MacEoghan" mean "from the yew tree". Eurydice was written before HBP came out and established certain facts about Voldemort's parentage, but she remains part of my post-OotP AU.

Defining Characteristics: First son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. Killed by Lucius when he discovered the baby was a Squib.

Defining Characteristics: Grandfatherly English wizard who ran a magical apothecary shop, disguised as a Muggle herbalist, near York in the 1970's. Killed along with James Potter's father by Death Eaters on Halloween 1979. Lily Evans was fond of him, and bought all her Potions supplies from him.

Defining Characteristics: Father of Marvolina McLaggen/Minerva McGonagall. A pure-blood who contracted an arranged marriage to Merope Gaunt for about a year before she ran off with Tom Riddle Sr (yes, I know this is impossible).

Defining Characteristics: Elderly professor who is head of Hufflepuff house in the early 1980's.

Defining Characteristics: Grouchy, impersonal ministry clerk in charge of interviewing witnesses to Sirius's "crimes". Is a bit callous and rough with poor Remus. Percy would love him.

Defining Characteristics: A tough, young, short-haired witch with an unusual scar on her neck. Guardswitch at Azkaban after the second war. She is under the thrall of part-vampire prisoner Lorcan d'Eath. Named, of course, for Mina Murray.

Defining Characteristics: Founders-era ancestress of Tom Riddle and Marvolina McLaggen, who bore a son to Salazar Slytherin.

Defining Characteristics: James's mother. Described by all as a "sweet lady". Killed by Death Eaters in her home, 31 October 1979. Named for my sister.

Defining Characteristics: Black hair and green eyes, like her older brother, and freckles. Second child of James and Lily Potter. Eleanor is seen only in the Mirror of Erised by Remus, but she would have been the baby Lily was pregnant with right before she died.

Sometime-girlfriend of Peter Pettigrew from their fourth year onwards. Uses sex to get what she wants. Has a secret passion for Muggle fanfiction, which she shared at one time with Maggie Lewis. She rarely smiles, and not usually at nice things. A Death Eater who avoided sentence in Azkaban by giving evidence against the Lestranges, whom she dislikes. Killed in the final battle.

THE DINNER PARTY THAT WOULDN'T DIE
Date: 26 October 1981
Description: The final gathering of the Marauders at the Potters' house before the Fidelius Charm is put in place, James and Lily die, Sirius goes to Azkaban, and Peter goes into hiding. This event has been told in various stories from James's, Lily's, Remus's, Sirius's, Peter's, and even baby Harry's point of view, and each character experiences it slightly differently.
